Istraživanja – Journal of Historical Researches publishes research results, fresh hypotheses, ideas, theoretical and methodological perspectives, methodic approaches, and new perspectives on social, political and cultural processes in the chronological span from prehistory to contemporary period. The geographical focus is primarily, but not exclusively, on the regions of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, as well as Eastern Mediterranean. The editorial policy of the journal gives particular attention to multidisciplinary approaches by publishing not only the works on political history, but also critical studies of wider social and cultural phenomena (from the perspectives of material culture, history of ideas, literature, religion, economy, historical demography etc.).
